I didn't want to start Fresh Press with a basic 'omg I'm so excited' but OHHHH EMMMM GEEEEE!!!

Can you believe this is the first issue of Fresh Press?

Well, to not have Studio Designah and NAH AH Dispatch all forgotten, I'm honouring them with the issue number—

so we're starting with #35 (yes, the truth is I have strong attachments with the work I've built with NAH AH Dispatch, sue me).

A month ago, this was all in my head and scattered ideas on my notion boards, notebooks, and iphone notes app. Two months ago, none of these ideas even existed.

Now fast-forward a little, it's 2025. Merry Morning is soft launching, and website's also launching in JUST A FEW DAYS.

No worries, you're not alone. This is the classic "can't read the label from inside the jar" situation!

Here's the thing—the secret isn't speed, it's self-awareness. Welp I do work really fast too, but that's a story for another day.

I know my personality and style like the back of my hand, which made this process natural (even though it might not feel that way for you right now).

For me, Merry Morning might be a branding studio, but it's still fundamentally a personal brand.

I started with what I know: my wardrobe choices, my interior design preferences, my way of talking (hello, parenthetical asides, or my endless haha's or lol's!), even my choice in decor.

Then I combined all of that with my design expertise and experience.

The key? Always start with personality for personal brands. That's what makes your brand feel authentic and natural. Feel like an imposter with your brand? I bet this is why.

(And no, I won't go on about how First Light is literally built to help you discover and amplify your personality... but the waitlist is there if you're curious!)
